Happy TGIF, my beauties! (And I literally mean Thank GOD it’s Friday, He knows I need a break!). So what do y’all have going on for the weekend?
Lunch with my best girlfriend today at Chili’s! Can’t beat lunch with a friend to start the weekend. And Chili’s is my favorite place!
Depending on whether writing inspiration hits or not, I might not be so bloggy. I’m feeling very beady and very sew-y. My creative juices seem to be flowing this weekend. If I have any luck, I’ll post pics.
I was supposed to be having a yard sale this weekend but I didn’t get my butt in gear so it’ll have to be next weekend. Need to raise some loot (Studly’s priority) and get rid of some junk excess stuff in the house (my priority). He always reminds me of when we had a yard sale in Cleveland and I practically gave away a snow blower. Hey, we were moving to Florida; what’d I need a snow blower for?
God blessed us this week and I just have to share. We had a very specific financial need and we received a check for that amount almost to the penny! Praise Him, He does provide! I can’t wait to see what He puts in my path for a regular means of income!! I’m in prayer for it, and soon I’ll start looking because I do believe He wants us to try to help ourselves, but at the end of the day, I do trust that He’ll provide!
Had a great Bible study last night. We’re doing a study of David that Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore and Kay Arthur did at Deeper Still last year. I really enjoyed Priscilla as a speaker the first 2 weeks, man is she dynamic! Beth Moore wasn’t in my personal style that I like but she sure does seem to have a heart for the Lord! But last night was the first segment Kay Arthur did and — WOW! She got down and dirty about sin — David’s, her own, and in general — in a way that many folks don’t anymore. We get talked to about “sin lite” such as making the wrong choices, taking a wrong step… Let’s call it what it is, people — SIN! You know the old 12-step saying that before you can get help for a problem you have to first admit that you have one? Well, no getting around it, our problem is SIN! And, praise God, the help for it is just an open heart and a prayer away!

I am excited that the weekend is here too. We have an Extraordinary Women conference here that I have looked forward to all year.
I’ll have to check out that study you mentioned. We haven’t offered it to our women yet. May be a good one if it speaks directly to our sin. Everyone needs that.
