I have one thing to put on my list today — well, I have many things but only one thing I want to concentrate on: GOD IS EVER FAITHFUL. THAT WHICH HE HAS PROMISED US, HE WILL DELIVER. His forgiveness, His mercy, His justice, salvation and redemption through His grace — they are all ours as He promised.
If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our afffliction, then thou wilt hear and help. 2 Chron 20:9 Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours but God’s. 2 Chron 20:15 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10
Over the last year, I nearly lost myself, my sanity, my family (I had already turned from my Christian walk many years before) because I had built my foundation on the promises of people who, being human, were not always able to deliver on their promises. My foundation cracked and I caved in. Then He, in His glorious majesty, sought me and saved me as I was lost. And my foundation will never crack again because it is built on the Rock of my Savior. For this I am thankful.

Praise the Lord! This is a beautiful post and something I can relate to too. I’m thankful that I’ve learned to keep my eyes on Jesus and not on the people as I’ve done in the past.

How this touches my heart! I have a daughter who has walked away from the Lord and is building her life around her partying friends. I long for the day she comes home to Jesus…her solid Rock!
