Wow, it has been more than a week since I did my last 1000 Gifts post. Bad, bad me! (actually just busy, busy me)
17. I am grateful for the gift that came that met a specific financial need we had. I am grateful on 2 counts — the first is that the need got met but the second, and most important, is that it is yet another opportunity to witness for Christ. Our needs ARE provided as He wills!
18. I am grateful that my sons are so smart and involved and articulate. They themselves are gifts but their agile minds are gifts in and of themselves! We had many rousing debates about both the national and local elections and, while we didn’t always ever agree, it was a lot of fun!
19. Without saying too much, I will say that I am grateful that my beloved husband is honest and upfront with me even when reminders of an ugly time in our past rear their heads. The gifts of his honesty and compassion and understanding are beyond price to me.
20. I am grateful in advance for the gift of a new WAH job that I know God is going to provide for me. I have faith in Him, that He knows our needs, both financial and my need to be here at home as Studly’s caregiver (particularly for weeks such as these last two have been), and that He will absolutely meet those needs in His time and in His way!
21. I am grateful for the incredible gift of God’s word and the gift of understanding, for which I pray every time I sit down to read and study. I never fail to find a verse or two that speak to me either for a situation that I am currently in or one that I am about to find myself in. His word and His guidance — amazing gifts!
